Surface of the tape is glossy so you cannot really write on it with ball-point pen. But with sharpie you can and the product itself is as it is described.

Really good quality tapes! I really liked them, they were just as described by the store. However, I noticed that all my tapes had a dark line in them at the beginning of each tape (as you can see in the pictures). Fortunately, the lines are not visible anywhere else on the tape. Another thing is that 3 of the colors appear very similar to each other. Other than that, I really liked these tapes and would recommend!
