If it serves you dim light because AA battery, if you want all the power of light, 14500 stack (usually rechargeable). Or buy a UV flashlight, USB rechargeable, and that's it!, less mess.

From the latter it shines brighter. The format of the 14500 to 3.7 V battery I did not have. The zoom is adjusted by offset the lens forward or backward along the axis of the flashlight. The battery is not included. Nice lantern.
